About Kara.

Kara's love for art began at the age of two, when her father would hand her a box of crayons and a coloring book, and she'd disappear into her own creative world for hours. She went on to study fine arts throughout middle and high school, developing a deep appreciation for color, form, and storytelling through visual expression.

Today, Kara is a Baltimore-based oil painter. By day she works in tech; by night she's in the studio with a brush in hand. Her work is known for its bold colors, vibrant energy, and intricate detail. Many of her pieces explore illusions within paintings, blending realism with imagination to challenge the viewer's perception.

She loves experimenting with optical illusions, mixed media, and collage-style painting, always pushing the boundaries of how art can engage and surprise the eye.

Her original paintings are available in the shop, and she takes custom commissions for collectors who want something one of a kind.
